Affinity 1.7 update?

I noticed Affinity updated their software a while back and I've read some threads suggesting bugs and problems exporting. I am wondering if anyone has done the update and hoping you can share your insights. Is it a safe update or should I wait a bit longer?

It's safe for me. They don't seem to have fixed some bugs which I've already seen in 1.6.x, but in general, it's a good update.

works fine, 1.7 was terribly slow in raw conversion, but 1.7.1 has normal speed.

To me the worst part of AP is definitely the raw converter. I suggest starting off in another raw converter such as Lr, C1P, or DxO.

Got Affinity Photo 1.7.1 and opened a Nikon D850 45.75mp .nef (raw) file and it took 5.3 seconds to open.
