My keyboard and trackpad are now completely unresponsive.

    Unibody Aluminum MacBook.

    Anyone else having this problem?
Anyone know how to fix it?

Restoring from time machine backup now. Limited window where keys worked well enough to eject discs and press C to load from a CD.

Just installed it last night on my alu. MB, working fine. Not sure why yours did what it did, especially since the update was supposed to fix anything like what you experienced.

Wasn't 10.6.4 supposed to fix unresponsive keyboards and trackpads?

Anyways, you probably should have reset the PRAM before you restored, but too late now;)
