After 13 months with my Air 2, I cracked the screen

The screen is done and I'll need to get it replaced. I already have an appointment at the apple store tomorrow.

Two questions, is my deductible $50 with Apple Care and will i be getting a replacement Air 2? I had noticed that the the battery life hadn't been as good as it once was on my current Air 2.

I recently dropped my week one iPad Air 2, knee level and cracked the screen.

I tried to look for other options but Apple offered the best, even out of warranty.

I didn't have Apple Care, but I am sure it is the same way.
They don't fix your Air 2.
They confirm the damage, go in the back and give you a refurbished one (with new battery) if they have the same on in stock.
It costs me $299 but that is a no brainer when the youbreakwefleece shops are all quoting $250 - $350 to fix.

Make sure they do a battery diagnostic on the replacement iPad AIR 2 you never know if it has bad cells.

Pretty painless, got a new one and paid my $50 deductible. Took about 5 mins.

That's ridiculous when they sell an entire refurbished model for $40 less than that, and a brand new one for only $20 more. You'd be much better off just selling your broken iPad and buying a new or refurbished model.

Lol and I thought $299 was expensive. At $379 it makes no sense to waste money on an oow air 2. You can buy a new one for not much more.
