    Hi all!
I updated to 2.1 on Tuesday on my 1st gen iPod touch. It used to fetch my e-mails every 15 minutes, but now it does not anymore. It is still set to fetch every 15 minutes though. I do not use MobileMe. Anyone else experiencing this? It is fetching from my Gmail account, but new e-mails don't appear until I actually open the mail application on my touch.

    Sometimes

It's a mix for me. My rss feeds on newsstand don't load every 15 minutes, but my mail usually does. There have been one or 2 instances where my mail hasn't, but this is also on my 2g. I also use gmail, so i don't know what to tell you, maybe just wait for next update and hope they clean up the bugs?

I don't know what problem you guys have but I have something very similar.

I have set my ipod to fetch my email every hour but for some reason it seems to fetch every 15min. I don't understand it. Or maybe if not every 15 min it seems to be pushed to my iPod.

Note: I use an AOL email address and not mobile me.

The iPod used to fetch when not in use, now it does not anymore even when it is set to fetch every 15 min. Why would this feature exist if it can't fetch when not in use? Does this make sense?
