I agree with you on this point, 3G is completely over rated on the iPhone if 3G is 800 kb/sec.

My current iPhone on my home wifi network = 674 kb/sec
My current iPhone on O2's EDGE network = 573 kb/sec
Future rumored iPhone with 3G = 800 kb/sec

I am glad I didn't wait till June at this point! I will still get the Software Update V.2 for free.

Anyway...this is NOT a thread about 3G or Flash enabled iPhones. I want to know what else people want on the device, because Lords knows the world and his wife wants a 3G flash enabled iPhone. What else do we want people?!
 
I still don´t see whythis guy doesn´t want to JailBreak his iPhone. Honestly, it can be done in less time than it took to write his OP.
 
Thats cool, theres about 50000 threads on the same issue with most of the same ideas on it. But i do agree with many of them.
 
I'd like to view animated GIFs. Like Doppler radar motion GIFs. It's so annoying not being able to see moving images on the iPhone.
 
Oh and a button in cover flow in one of the top corners that lets you select videos or atleast able to go back to the iPod main menu so I can then select Videos. I have my phone mounted from my windshield in landscape and when I want to switch from listening to music to letting my daughter watch her favorite show "the Backyardigans" I have to unplug the cord from the phone to the radio and rotate it to see the menu press video and then rotate it back and plug it in, seriously is it that hard to have a button that goes back to the iPod main menu right from cover flow in stead of having to use the accelerometer? This sucks when driving.
 
If flash ever is added to the iphone, I would like a disable option for it just like we can disable javascript. I hate looking at flash website, especially normal websites with huge/bulky flash ads. I have a flash blocker installed on the desktop browser, and I prefer not having to waste my battery life and internet speed (when on edge) looking at bloated flash content.
 
I'd be happy just to be able to use standard headphones with the iphone...what Apple half-wit came up with the idea of using a non-standard headphone socket FGS.

It's an attempt at moving the industry to a smaller form factor for 3.5mm headphone sockets (so devices can go thinner and not go 2.5mm). A lot of headphone manufacturers are following suit too.

It's not that convenient though I agree.

What about birthday support of somekind? It's in the contacts, but it doesn't show up in the Cal, in any view. Is there some setting i'm missing?

PDF's from the internet suck too. you can't zoom in far enough to see details, ie on a subway map.

Saving pics and pdf's from email and the internet too please!

Oh yeah, and rotation of all programs, esp Maps! :D
