After 4.3.1 update "sync to itunes" on iphone, itunes does not recognize it anymore

  • I have updated my iphone 4 to 4.3.1
  • An error occured - maybe 1031? Don't know anymore.
  • There is a picture on the iphone with a white usb cable and an arrow to a round blue itunes logo
  • iTunes does not recognize if the iphone is connected to the computer anymore.
  • All I can do with the iphone is to shut it off and on, when booting the grey apple logo appears, then the connecting picture.

What can I do?
 
This helped:

I deinstalled iTunes and installed it again. Now I can restore my iPhone.
