This has probably been discussed many times, and I did a Google search for this issue but could not find any information I felt 100% confident with, so I ask my fellow MacRumors geniuses for help:

Can I sync my iPhone 6 with iTunes 12 on Yosemite (Clean Install) WITHOUT losing my data and having to re-sync and re-install everything etc?

I am not keen on loading from backup. If there are no options to do this without having to load a backup on my iPhone 6, I would really rather prefer to just delete everything and start over. It is a huge pain in the ass and I do not know why Apple does not fix this to realize that when they release a new OS and we upgrade to it doing a fresh install, we do not want to have to delete everything and re-sync again.

Please, I ask for anyones solution to this. I have been on a Mac for a while now but this is one issue I have never really researched heavily, and just accepted as fact, however, I have seen some evidence from the research I did do that you may not have to delete everything and sync fresh.

Thank you in advance.
