    Original state of 3gs:
    Version 3.xxxx
    Basebands 04.26.08
    Bootroom 6.4

    I used Snowbreeze
It recognized the file that I downloaded 4.3.1ipsw
The JB went thru smoothly without any kind of error.
At the end, I can't click exit recovery in the TinyUmbrella,
So I click Fix Recovery then the log says to allow the device to reboot.
    I turn it off.
    Now it won't start.

    What have I done wrong?
    Can I still fix this?

    Please advise.

try holding the home/power button until apple logo appears.

If you've already tried that to no avail, do the above again for 10 seconds then release power button but continue holding home button until iPhone is in DFU mode. (do this while iPhone is connected to the computer). You may have to redo it all.

Everytime I restart iTune, it detects the 3gs in dfu mode. The same with umbrella, the "fix recovery" is highlighted. So it is not really off. I tried everything but it just won't start. I tried restoring again with umbrella/iTunes but I get some kind of an error.

I don't know what I missed along the way but as of now I just let iTune restore it without the umbrella running. If it is going to work then I will have to wait for the next jailbreak that can make it with the updated 3gs huhuhu.

    Thanks guys....

EDIT: It did not work. I will try it umbrella running now.
EDIT2: It did work. Now it is a 4.3.2.

Unless it's the current, if you try to install/restore a firmware about does not allow, you must have old SHSH files saved to trick iTunes. Otherwise, you will always get an error.
