After lion update>>>>all my music and video files are gone...help

I updated to Lion just before my trip to Seattle last week. I noticed that my music and videos are all missing on my iPod and iPad. Now I get home to find out they're gone from my iMac also.......G O N E....I am Pizzed Off. Is there any way to get them back?
 
That is why you have backups. Go into Time Machine, turn back the clock and get your files back.
