Have a 8 core Mac Pro and after the Snow Leopard update it seems to be crawling. I have a program called AppFresh that checks programs you have for updates and it is showing I have a staggering 370 programs installed. It shows multiples of almost all programs like 10 1Passwords, 12 Evernotes, 15 iTunes. Under System Profile - Software - Applications it shows the same. Is this correct or has SL corrupted my system?

How do I find/delete them? Are programs stored under the Library folder? Do others have this problem and is it normal?

Ignore it, I did a fresh install and its the same with mine. It finds all apps on the mac it doesn't matter where they are located (docs, external drives etc) or even if they are installed and displays them. I think it even displays old software versions, so if you updated your apps those will be displayed as well.
