I was just done with the old design after the 6S. I was shocked when they came out with the 7 that was identical (and then again with the 8..). I would never go back. If I didn't like the X, I would've gone to the Note 8.

I used something better than the X, the Note 8 and disagree with your assessment. As a matter of fact, I think the best Iphone is the SE........old and archaic. ....

I have the X as my personal phone. For work, they supply us a Plus model. Every time I have to use my work phone the Plus (after a little over one week so far with my X) the Plus feels old, outdated, huge, heavy and bulky. After using the X with no home button and swiping, when using the Plus I now get confused and try to swipe and gesture.

I’ve tried to give the X a go but the yellowish screen just irks me. FaceID is ok but touchID still shines the best and is the most response when I need it. The X is nice but not $1000 nice IMO. I’ll wait and see if they can improve the True Tone display next year and see where the price lands. I’m back on the 8.

Anyone else try to go back to the old design after using the iPhone X? What was your reaction?

It was fine going back to my 7+ after using the X for several days.
Its not dramatic because the Plus sized iPhones have wider screens right now.

Did you turn off True Tone? My X screen was piss yellow right out of the box, once I turned off True Tone, no more yellow.

Thank God for that, I was wondering if I’d ever see a thread discussing bezels and how anyone that doesn’t own the X should go back to the Neolithic era where they belong.

Don’t really understand why people feel the need the post new threads taking swipes at iPhones they didn’t buy.

Different users have different wants and needs and some, perish the thought, like them both.

Yes I did but now it’s too blue. I wish they allowed you to adjust according to your liking like Samsung allows. I don’t care for it so I’m going back to my 8.

I still have an appreciation for the Plus model and the iPhone X. The design is more comfortable to hold with the iPhone X, but the I don't have an issue with the Plus and the width, along with the LCD. I have an appreciation for both iPhones.

iPhone 8 and 8 plus bezels are absolutely massive and outdated compared to the X. The 8 design is 4 year old design. Off course, the 8 is totally archaic. There is no doubt about that. Replacing X to the 8 is a step back.

I did, couldn't stand it. Archaic and fat.
I second. 🙂

I own both the iPhone X and iPhone 8 Plus. Every time I go back to the 8 Plus, it feels clunky and massive. Outdated, not so much, as it's brilliant tech - but I wouldn't want to go back to it anymore.

I originally bought them both to figure out which one I like best. I'm selling the 8 Plus.

I mean it feels a little funny going back to the Plus but I wouldn’t say they are massive and outdated. You’re just wowed by the X right now. Just a few weeks ago folks still loved the old design. The X size has its up and downs and in some situations I would rather take the older style especially when watching content on my phone. I’m still going with the X right now.
