I remember getting the same error when opening FCP for the first time, but I'm getting it again when opening Compressor:

"configuration error this software requires certain hardware or software which is missing AHP graphics card"

It was opening some root file in TextEdit, editing one line, and re-saving, then everything opened fine.

Thanks in advance!

Ha! I had to do this just the other day.

Open the package contents of the FCE application and edit the file: info.plist.

Replace the string AGP with PCI (line 16 for me).

Save file. Should work.

Thank you!Thank you!Thank you!

I have been unable to use FCP for ages because of this error, and I just thought it was because of system specs until I searched this site. Macrumors is awesome!
Thanks again bootedbear!
