My iPad is 2003 version on my home screen I have the mail icon when I put my finger on it I get a list of all the mail servers when I choose iCloud I put in my apple ID and password only to get a message your iCloud has already been added to your iPad ..

Your iCloud account should already be set up. There should be no need to enter your credentials again, and that is what the message is telling you. Instead of long pressing on the stock mail icon, just tap it once and the mail app will open and should show you mail from all the accounts you have set up.

Settings > Mail > Accounts That will show you all the email accounts you have set up in the stock mail app.
