FINALLY! Been waiting for ever now. New update for AIM with Push Notifcations just came out!!!

Does this include the free version also?

Yep, Update also said Landscape is coming in the next update!

Push updates are about 30-45 seconds delay, not that bad.
Aim still does that annouying thing where it freezes for a second when an IM is being received too!

nice, hopefully all the other apps with push notifications written into them should start to trickle into the app store soon.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_0 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7A341 Safari/528.16)

Using it right now. Flawless...

Hmm thats weird. The first time i sent an IM, my phone took about 45 seconds to get the push. Now its taking less than 2 seconds.

Finally happy! Now just waiting for Facebook and Myspace!

yeah the 1st pushed IM takes up to a minute, then the rest are really quick

I've already found an issue with push IM apps. I don't know how others will work, but with AIM, you have to stay signed on on their servers (ie, set it up to keep you signed on after you close the app) to get the push notifications. which is fine if you use your phone as your sole source of IM convos, but if you then start talkin to someone on your ocmputer your still being pushed their messages. you have to go into the app, and sign off whenever your using your computers IM application. annoying

Anyone know if theres an update differences between the paid and free version? Seems the only thing the paid version has is no ads. Not worth 3 bucks in my opinion!

That's a bit weird. The wife and I are sitting right next to eachother testing and at worst we've seen a 3-4 second delay, but typically it's within 1-2 seconds. Still good.

I have AIM and tap tap revenge 2 but don't see notifications in settings.

this is on 3GS and I have 3G with 3.0 which shows notifications and works like a charm.

open up AIM and go into the preferences to turn on push.

don't see that either... i have that option on my 3G with 3.0 but not on 3GS

Dude not that hard. If you havent enabled push already it wont show up, open AIM and it will ask you if you want to. Then it will be in your settings.

Where do you see these up? I just checked app store and neither AIM free or beejive shows as new version. Searching they both show old versions too in appstore.
