Aim for Mac Os X , i cant install it!

For the life of me i cant seem to download aim. i want to use it with ichat but whern ever i download it it downloads in a .bin file which mac wont open...what should i do?

You don't need to download AIM for mac. iChat is a stand-alone application. Open iChat, put in your account information, and then you'll be good to go.

I think you'll need stuffit expander to open it (it's a free download).

Rather stupid that Apple doesn't ship their computers with Stuffit anymore, methinks.

So use iChat. It is an AIM client, you don't need to install AIM to use it. Just enter your details and away you go like the guy said.

I use adium as well. Highly recommended.

The only reason I use iChat is for audio/video chats.

Definitely use one of those two, not AOL's AIM client. It's AOL. And it's nasty.
