if i send a text message with aim to a friend does he/she have to pay for that messge even if they have a text plan with their carrier

Assuming they pay for incoming texts, yes. Basically, any text sent by you via AIM is the same as a regular text to them.

when they recieve the text would it tell them who they got it from? would it show my phone number or my aim name

Talking about the AIM app or AIM on your PC/Mac?

If its on AIM on your PC/Mac(iChat), It'll say a 1001010101010 (somethin like that) number, but in the message it'll have the Sent From: *your username here*.

If its from the AIM App, it'll have your screen name, and they'll think you're using a computer. The receiver won't be able to tell the difference.
