Is anyone else having trouble grabbing them out of the case? I can't seem to get a good grip and seem to have to "pry" with fingernails...

Noticed this as well, it's like I need to do a little bit of "prying" to get it out. Minor annoyance only. As mentioned above, pushing it out by the side is easier since there is a space where your finger can slide a little bit in.

Stick your finger in the lid grooves/holes where the tops of the airpods usually are when closed. Then pull the airpods towards you.
You're right. They're easier to take out than the original Airpods.

I see now that this is by design, looking at how the channel in the case is shaped. It's obvious now after you pointed it out. I was surprised Apple made this so fiddly to take out, but of course Apple is too OCD for something like this.

Not so, it looks like the way you roll them over the sharp edge would overtime damage the side that it’s being rolled on? I sure don’t want an edge that looks like it’s been sandpapered after awhile...
