Just noticed this. Seems a lot better than 8.1. Unplugged since around 4:50am today, and on LTE the whole time with 40 minutes of usage (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and Safari); still on 100%. Brightness at 50%: http://imgur.com/pQMMod8

Anyone else?

The whole system is much more responsive on my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 6 Plus. Performance has been restored to the 8.0.2 level.

No, after 40 min of playing a game in combination with Tune-In I lost 3%. Is that normal?

3% battery life for playing a game for 40 minutes i.e. you can play this game for 40 mins x 33.3 = 1333.33 minutes = 22.22 hours of continuously playing the game. Impressive.

Well I didn't play 40 minutes long, I think like 10-20 minutes and like 20-30 minutes browsing the web.

Either the battery meter is broken, or the battery usage has seen vast improvement. It looks to be much better for me too.

Wow. I haven't updated yet, but if you all are seeing improvement, I'll do it as soon as I get home tonight.

Thanks for the heads up.

This is my iPad 4 battery life. Mostly safari browsing and watching YouTube. Seems almost too good for some reason.

Battery is still OK on my Air 2 but nothing like my Air. I'm getting 10-12 hours vs. 15-20. I definitely have to thin about charging this device much more than I did the Air.

I found that right after I upgraded my Air 2, the battery meter was off. It said I'd get over 20 hours and that seemed too good to be true. After I ran it down and recharged it, it went back to normal, but I still got an extra 2 hours of use from it - I was getting 10 with how I use it (browsing, twitter, Hungry Shark) and now I'm getting 12.

I took this screenshot right before upgrading to 8.1.1 since I'd have to plug it in. This was on 8.1 which I had probably 10 cycles on before.

There is definitely battery improvements, like 40-60 mins more for me, when browsing, didn't count it when playing any game.

Battery life too good??

It doesn't feel like I have had this much screen on time since my last full charge. Not complaining, just wondering if this is correct.
