I'm looking for a small stand for my iPad Air 2 that's sturdy in portrait view. Preferably a stand that I don't have to remove my case (KHOMO DUAL Super Slim) to use. The stand will be used primarily on my desk for my development projects.

I was looking at the Twelve South Compass 2 as it will do what I need but the reviews seemed spotty.

What do you all recommend for a stand that's great in portrait view?

My personal favorite, but it's not small--the Stabile stand from Thought Out. I have the first model. (now sold as the Pro), here's the updated version:

Pros: Raises the iPad to something closer to monitor height, rock solid so you don't need to worry about tipping it over, works with most cases, portrait or landscape, and is mostly future proof.

Cons: Heavy & a pretty big base compared to some (which gives it such stability), a bit overpriced. But I've gotten four years use out of mine so far.
