Hi. What about using the new MacBook Air 2020 for semi-pro podcasting and/or audio-base for documentary? Only audio, GarageBand would be ok (I don’t think I would use Logic Pro). My projects are almost one our audio recording, 8 tracks With voices, music and sound effects. Not every day use like this, 2/3days a week I’m using an iMac 2017 and it’s fine. Now I need to have something portable.
I was thinking to buy the i5 with 16gb ram. I think my use is exactly in the middle between this air 2020 and a MBP (the next one, maybe 14). Maybe the air is underpowered for my use, the. Pro is too much.
Thanks for the help

What sort of Audio equipment are you going to use?

Eg, Mics, external audio interfaces etc etc?

I use an Usb mic for voice recording. Music and effects come from my music library. Only few times (really occasionally) I use a midi keyboard.
