Just air-cleaned the interior of my 5,1 and am wondering if I need to do anything with the graphics card.
What about the power supply (apart from blowing from outside of the case)?

Thanks

Richard

Depends of how dusty it is. I cleaned out my GPU after 1 year of use. There was quite a lot of dust inside the cooler shroud. On the reference 770 you should be able to open up the shroud without removing the whole cooler from the card.
I experienced about a 2° drop in temps after it was cleaned.

About the PSU, you don't have to worry about. If you'd want to clean it, you have to remove it.

Hope this helps

Make sure the fans cant spin from the compressed air. They can be mechanically overloaded or could feed voltage back into the boards.

Easy to pull the PSU based on this.. https://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Mac+Pro+First+Generation+Power+Supply+Unit+Replacement/32222

When I clean the old 2008 I pull a few things! :p
