As far as I'm concerned Air Dropping photos from an iPhone to a MBP 15", late 2016 is a disaster. They come in with the Date Created and Date Modified as the date you Air Dropped them. In addition when importing photos from a Canon camera they come into the Photos app and their whereabouts disappear somewhere in the system. You can see them in the Photo app but not Finder.
