So I have Air Pods Pro, first gen. The left pod is fine, but the right one often makes what I can only decribe as a “squelching” noise when I put it in and use it. Its particularly bad when i set the pods to Noise Cancellation mode. Ive had my ears checked for any excessive ear wax problems but that seems to be ok. Any ideas anyone?

yep me too im using a set of third party tips from amazon with no squelching . but if I use original apple tips no matter the size after 30-60 minutes horrible squelching particularly noticeable if you’re eating.
definitely unique to pro3 because i have pro2 and there is no issue. the third party tips are softer and more flexible im no scientist or engineer but the rigid firmer feel of the original pro3 tips maybe the issue . i also recently had ears cleaned by the hospital with a vacuum tool made no difference at all to the issue of squelching

Thanks for the reply. Changed the ear tip and hey presto, problem solved. Would never had thought of it if it wasn’t for your suggestion! Thanks for your help.
