I'm not even really sure what the terminology is, but I am looking for a peripheral that would allow me to hook my MacBook Pro to the power of an airplane. Anyone know where I can find such a device if it exists?

There are a couple of options.

I'm pretty sure Kensington makes a direct adapter/charger.

However, for $30-$70, you can get an inverter that plugs into 12V and outputs 120VAC, and you can plug the MBP adapter into that - or any other low-wattage adapter, or even a power strip. Most come with airplane adapters.

Edit: this is the one I have, and it works as advertised.
