The flaws and defects of the Air 2 are not a one-off problem. Again, we disagree. Let’s just leave it at that.

Perfection doesn't exist, but since I saw several units without visible defects, I'd call again there are no flaws. Just some defective units, as in every production batch (they are selling millions, so even 100, and they aren't 100, on this thread are a statistically non existent issue).

Just because millions of units are sold, does not mean there are not any design flaws, which there clearly are. Every single unit I have owned, every single unit on display in multiple stores ( Best Buy, Target, Apple Stores) all show screen distortion of some degree due to the thinness of the Air 2. That’s NOT a one-off or occasional bad unit that squeaked by quality control. To say the problem is “non-existent” is simply completely false.

Every single unit I tested on four Apple stores and premium reseller, I'm speaking about 50 units, didn't show any screen distortion. So no flaws.

We clearly must be speaking about two different subjects. I’m speaking about when you press the back of the unit to the right of the Apple logo and also if you press the lower right toward the bottom of the unit. In both instances, to some degree, it distorts each and every time. This is indeed a design flaw due to the thinness of the Air 2.

In my industry, known flaws are present due to production deadlines and are still present at product release. Millions of these are sold. The flaws bother some customers, while some customers are not bothered and may not even care. I'm the customer in which the flaws bother me. You seem to be the customer in which the flaws do not bother you.

I would not consider something like that as a flaw.
You are not supposed to intentionally press the back in order to twist the case just to demonstrate that aluminium can twist.
This is not normal usage.
During normal usage the screen doesn't have any distortion

It is indeed normal usage. When you walk around with unit in hand, it distorts. The weight of the unit while being held in normal usage causes distortion (how much varies unit to unit).
You do not need to twist the unit for it to distort. We finally agree – twisting is not normal usage.

That's not true. It doesn't distort when you handle it. You actually have to INTENTIONALLY push on its back.

Nope. It is indeed true.
We have arrived at an impasse.
I’ll never convince you otherwise and you certainly will never convince me that the Air 2 has no design flaws and is perfect.

For some of us, this is Groundhog Day. You'll never convince Max that the iPad Air has flaws in its design. That it's too flexible or the screen backlighting is uneven or the battery life got worse between the first and second version.

I don't have to convince you. People are voting with their wallets. And there is no return campaign about flawed iPads so far....

Battery life is worse as a matter of fact....

Battery life is worse as a matter of fact....

Apple does not do product recalls. iPad sales will continue, even though the product has design problems and flaws.

How do you know the Air 2 battery is actually worse? How do you test a battery in a retail store?

Apple did acknowledge even after expiration warranty repairs more than once in its long history. IPhone 5 battery is just the last case.....

There are several detailed reviews about battery life. Great but shorter than iPad Air.

And if enough people thought that these so-called design problems and flaws were a deal breaker, there will be a massive slow down of sales, and a massive increase in product returns. So far, that hasn't happened. Which means that most people are finding the Air 2 quality acceptable, whatever flaws and problems you perceive.

Yes, I'm aware. Like I said, there are many many Apple customers who don’t care. Because of this, Apple will do nothing. At the same time, this forum is important to let Apple know the product can and should be improved.

For example, the Air 1 had screen discoloration problems and the bookspine shadow on the left vertical side, and yet, they sold millions of units. My point; the screen problems existed throughout the robust sales.

While I suppose it's possible that Apple has people monitoring forums such as this one, it'd be more efficient to send them feedback directly.

so then why should people care about what you perceive as a flaw?

Use an iPad air 2 at a local store near me the other day, pressed on the back - nothing. didn't want to press any harder than I was in case of damaging. The iPad I used had no problems under normal usage (I have also just ordered one)

Enjoy your iPad.
My point was there are customers in which real design flaws do not bother some, and other customers are bothered.

Except for the fact that the so called bookspine issue was just another typical forum's hysteria, for most of the cases......
If you want to be heard by Apple, use they feedback form, not an unofficial forum where you are just mainly fight your personal war.
My two cents.

That's exactly the point. Push hard purposely on the back of a thin device to demonstrate a so called flaw is just silly and has nothing to do with normal usage.

And your point is flawed by the fact that there isn't any design flaw but just your discomfort about a design choice.

Air 1 has the bookspine flaw. How do you know that I haven’t used Apple’s feedback forum? Although this forum is unofficial, it is highly likely Apple monitors this site as well.

You do not have to “push hard” to make the Air 2 screen distort. You are by your own statement above agreeing with me that there is a flaw in the Air 2.

My point has no “flaws” – there are indeed design flaws not only the Air 1 and Air 2, but in ANY product that is mass produced. There is no such thing as a “flawless” production product.

IPad air hasn't any bookspine flaw. I'm currently using one and in my organization we have 31.
Are we so lucky or this is just another forum's false myth ?

I kept in my hands many air 2 and none of then had screen distortion.

I stand by what I have stated by my hands-on ownership and first-hand experience. We once again have to agree to disagree.

Do you realize that your ownership speaks about YOUR unit by definition, so it can't be a design flaw ?
If others, and there are many here, have issue free units, than your unit could me defective, but there is no design flaw.

Please realize that you have a point of view as I have a point of view. We should politely leave it at that. Again, no product in mass production is “flawless”, not even an iPad.

You seem to have difficulties in understanding what a design flaw is (a defect that affect all the unit by design) and what a defective unit is.
Yes, in mass production there are defective units. Thousands.
