I'm looking for confirmation that Apple didn't opt for cheaper TLC nand in the 2014 models. Anyone know the estimated p/e cycles? Also, any difference between 128gb vs 256gb, or 11" vs 13"?

I have not seen anybody with a 2014 mention they changed flash storage brands from 2013, so I suspect they are the same, but of course can't be sure.

The chart below will give you a feel for write cycle endurance of the two types. And yes, the 256GB will last twice as long.

Chart is from this article.

Short version: That flash storage device will likely outlast your Macbook.
