In order to feel good about and justify my purchase, I must go out of my way to bash all the other options 🤦♂️
Same here — 16 Pro Max owner and I’ve always bought the Pro Max since the debut. I’ve got the 17 Pro Max on pre-order, but I’m going to check out the Air tomorrow and I’m already 70% decided to get the Air instead of that chunky 2 tone brick!I just looked up the weights and thankfully Apple use titanium and saved it just for the Air and now the 17 pro max is even heavier than the 16 pro Max. Wow that’s really gonna be a brick.
Can’t wait for tomorrow to say goodbye to bricks!
I’ll take one speaker all day long for the BEST titanium body all day long and then some.
So maybe not mimic the behavior you don’t like.Just to be clear this isn't directed at you, but that has been going on all week for those who purchased an iPhone 17 Pro or Max, at the expense of those who purchased an Air.
Me too, and I rarely ever buy first iterations of anything, but I had to go with this one and seeing it yesterday and feeling it and holding the air and the pro max in my each hand unbelievable the difference ….people will see today, but yeah, I found my new phone and will never go back to a brick again and I’m sure the air will just get better and better…next up the fold to see how that plays out.A aluminum unibody is not apple to apples on a Ti frame surround.
I’m glad they have the Air. It means we will have the Air 2 and Air 3 if it sells well. The further interactions will be even closer to the pro pro sky which would make me more interested.
In the same boat basically…good enough battery for me, great trade off for the weight..single camera is fine for me, in fact, one of the things I’ve always been disappointed in thinking that buying the best iPhone I would just get miraculously good pictures, but I didn’t so that was a wash anyway why waste of money…..external speakers no concern for me either… as long as I can hear somebody talk on speaker every now and then that’s just about the only thing I use the speakers for..another good weight trade off….I have a PM arriving today (supposedly, as the plane is 2hrs behind so we shall see) but I'm seriously considering returning it for an Air. After seeing the promising battery life results and the early damage to many pros' aluminum frame the Air is starting to be more appealing. My only hesitation is the single camera. Never use external speakers anyways and I don't play games or any other heavy intensity work that may throttle it. I don't have an Apple Store where I live but going to try and see the Air in person today at one of the carrier stores. Then decide once I get the PM in hand later today (or Monday).
I am always an innovator and first to adopt new stuff.Me too, and I rarely ever buy first iterations of anything, but I had to go with this one and seeing it yesterday and feeling it and holding the air and the pro max in my each hand unbelievable the difference ….people will see today, but yeah, I found my new phone and will never go back to a brick again and I’m sure the air will just get better and better…next up the fold to see how that plays out.
Now that’s being preparedI am always an innovator and first to adopt new stuff.
My EV car is first gen and it's been a pleasure and awesome ride.
Can't wait to pick up the Air today and dump my 16 Pro.
Just have to remember to bring my accessories as I hate a naked phone...

75 grams difference between my old 13PM and the Air. Really massive and massive improvement for me.The 68 grams difference between the Air and Pro Max is massive. Just felt it for myself in-store.
