What is causing this iOS 7, or the Air....

On Engadget if I start a pinch zoom instead of a gradual zoom of the entire page like on the iPad 4 under iOS 6, on the Air it suddenly reformats the text only to a larger size leaving the page width the same?

Here's a screen of the page as loaded note the small text size...

It would be a great feature if their was a gesture to increase text size only but it seems to happen on Engadget only?

It seems more and more sites are messing with the ability to zoom on tablets. Some are even locking zoom so you can't zoom at all!

I also hate it when sites don't just let you scroll through a story, and instead split it over a dozen pages you have to swipe through. Who's horrible idea was this??

Whoever figured each page equals a click for marketing purposes. I make a point of never visiting those sites EVER again.
