17 Pro or Pro Max?

The 6.3" 17 Pro is thicker than the Air but I actually find it easier to use one-handed since it's shorter and narrower.

I was talking about 17 pro yeah, I love the air and 90% of the time I don’t need the extra camera just considering selling the air and picking up a 17 pro since I’ll be going to Japan next march and I think I’ll miss the cameras there

If you’ve used ultra wide before you’ll miss that lens.

It’s why I kept my 16 Pro when I got this Air.

The 16P has been assigned to ‘travel camera’ duty.

i wish i could have kept my 16PM for that reason but since im on the upgrade program i cant keep my phones unless i pay the other half. but at the same time literally only time i will ever miss the cameras is during travel or concerts which both dont happen a lot

I had that concept too, keeping my 15PM for travel or special activities, but I just couldn’t force myself in being 100% satisfied. There are moments where I take spontaneous random picture and wished the the other lenses was there. Picture comes out fine, but not same like the Pro series.

Especially compromising a lot of important features when coming from Pro Max and paying premium price for just form factor.

End up retuning the Air and trying to see if I can grab a 17PM.

question does the 17 Pro still feel big compared to the Air?
Apple specs the Air display at 6.55″ diagonally. They round that down to 6.5″.

The iPhone 17 Pro display is 6.27″, but rounded up to 6.3″.

So the display size difference is 0.3″ rather than the 0.2″ you’d guess from the headline specs of 6.5″ versus 6.3″.

For that reason and maybe also the contrast between its width and depth (thickness), the Air feels a lot wider than the 17 Pro in the hand.

The 17 Pro, though is much bulkier because of its increased thickness (from the already thick 16 Pro) and huge camera bump.
