Hi, all! I have a 7th generation Paperwhite, on update 5.12.2. My Air is from 2015, running High Sierra. Recently my MacBook air will not recognize the kindle when I plug it in via USB. I can see that it’s charging from the computer from the light on the kindle, but the kindle doesn’t appear in finder, & the disk image doesn’t appear on desktop.

Steps I’ve taken so far:
  1. Switched out the cord several times. Bought new cord.
  2. restarted the computer
  3. restarted the kindle (both while plugged in to computer and while not plugged in)
  4. Plugged kindle into son’s computer (same model, same OS) - it DID recognize the kindle!
  5. Plugged other devices into the USB plug on my computer - THEY ARE RECOGNIZED.

Soooo, is it some setting on my mac that isn’t allowing me to see the kindle? All the hardware seems to be working. Anyone else encounter (and hopefully solve) this problem? Appreciate any thoughts!
