Airdisk issue? Western Digital Mybook Essential

hey guys, in a bit of a pickle with my Airport Extreme... I connected up my external hard drive today, only to find some weird issues.

My disk will not appear in the Finder sidebar... but in Airport Utility.. it does. e.g.

any ideas anyone?

Have you checked in "Network", don't you have to connect to it there first before it appears as a volume in your side bar ?
