Tested AirDrop with several of my other iPad including iPad mini, iPad mini retina and iPod Touch. Worked perfectly, send file successfully each time. Blur effect worked as well. So nice to see the ugly transparent thing out of my iPad 3.

This made me wonder, if AirDrop could work well on iPad 3, why would they disable it in first place?

Thank you so much! I've been trying to make the blur work since the jailbreak came out!

EDIT: I spoke too soon... The devbug repo I found didn't have the tweak you mentioned :p

Airdrop probably works with older devices without bluetooth 4.0 but the battery probably drains like crazy because it's always in search mode.

With bluetooth 4.0 a device can always publish itself without draining significant battery.

Things is that you don't use AirDrop that often anyway, so when you don't need it, you probably will just turn off the bluetooth. I don't think it will alway in search mode if you not invoke AirDrop... Maybe I am wrong..

Have used for a day. the battery seems normal to me... I don't really see crazy battery drain

The iPad 2 and iPad 3 both had all blur effects early in the beta stages. For some reason Apple just turned them off, so it should work fine. :)

The keyboard transprency doenst work :(

You know any form or tweak to enable?

Would like to know this as well. Happy the other blurs are working at least but keyboard is a huge one. I'm sure another tweak is being developed as we speak :)

The frosted glass effects and AirDrop work very well on my iPad 2. I still can't understand why the iPad mini gets blurred layers and the iPad 2 doesn't - both have the exact same SoC

I love apple stuff and products, but if there is one thing that annoys me to no end its this, there is nothing wrong with iPad 3 doing Blur Effects, Transparency, and having Air Drop.

Its Apple that wants your device to feel inferior so you'll upgrade. Air Drop might be the only thing that was in the best interest for the customer because without BT 4.0 LE it could be a battery drain, but no worse then leaving your Bluetooth on a iPad 2 or iPhone 4s or below.

Argh Apple......
