Hi guys,

I've noticed that my airdrop from my Mac to my iPhone works great and just how you would expect, but not the other way around. I just couldn't get my iPhone to see my mac. I searched on google but without avail.

Finally the solution I found (by accident) to get it working is to pair the iPhone and Mac through system preferences on the mac (although I'm not sure if this is necessary), then I have to open the Airdrop folder on Mac, but also the bluetooth system preference panel (to get the mac detectable I presume). If I don't open the bluetooth panel, my iPhone doesn't see my mac at all.

I presume this is a bug of some kind?

It's a common issue most of us have. Bluetooth paring works for some (most often for a short period) and not for others. This is however not how it is supposed to work.

AirDrop is simply buggy and the best solution is s to wait for updates.
