daijholt macrumors 65816 Original poster Jul 22, 2014 #1 So I just went to send a photo to my iPad from my iPhone, both running 7.1, and my MacBook Air, running Yosemite DP4 popped up in the Airdrop window. I tapped it, and lo & behold, the picture sent across without any problems. Interesting.

hamiltonDSi macrumors 68000 Jul 22, 2014 #2 I can confirm this. Yosemite DP4 and iOS 7.1.1 works perfect. But the funny thing is that AirDrop between DP4 and iOS 8.0 beta 4 doesn't work. 😀 (For me, at least) rMBP 15" - Yosemite DP4 iPhone 5s - iOS 7.1.1 iPad Air - iOS 8 Beta 4

Is that a 2012 rMBP or a 2013? 2013 should have full Airdrop, while 2012 likely not
