AirDrop Issues

I am trying to send files (pics and pdf) between my rMBP and iPhone 6. I have Yosemite and iOS 8.1. AirDrop is discoverable by everyone on both iPhone and rMBP. I can send files from rMBP to iPhone, but iPhone does not pick up my macbook. Any tips on how to fix this?

I can't airdrop between mbp and iPhone 6 in either direction

airdrop is not working between iphone 8.1 and yosemite BUT not even between Yosemite and Maveriks
