AirDrop iTunes To New Air?

I went to Airdrop my iTunes folder from my iMac to my Air...would this work?

If you could TAR up your iTunes folder and just send it across, that would be awesome. 🙂

I'm currently air dropping the whole folder, no zip or anything. Seems to be going smoothly.

Doesn't seem to be using the full bandwidth though (I hope), I'm getting about 5MB/s when usually on my wifi network I can get 10MB/s.

Yeah mine was going so slow...so I hooked it up to my external hd and it took 30 minutes (70GB).

Strike that, about half way through my computer started all kinds of freezing up and then suddenly lost the connection to my router. Maybe this isn't the best idea. After stopping the airdrop everything seems back to normal.

Yeah I'm starting to think AirDrop is for a document or some pics...something quick.

Not good for something large.
