I just upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro. When I AirDrop a photo or video to my MacBook Pro, it takes forever. I turned Bluetooth and Wifi on the phone and MacBook Pro on/off, but that didn't help.

Is anyone else experiencing this? I did see this post on MR about a similar issue, but it's not quite the same (as it is working for me, just very slowly).

AirDrop has been inconsistent for years, something that seems to work for me sometimes though is canceling the initial attempt and then AirDropping again, for whatever reason the second attempt usually works while the first one never initiates.

Thanks. Not sure what else to try at this point. I've restarted the phone and computer and that didn't help either.

Airdrop has been slow for me ever since I got an M1 Mac (M1 Max MBP). It takes like 20+ seconds to send a screenshot.

It feels like most of the time is spent connecting after I've hit the icon, the actual transfer appears to go quick.

Airdrop works as long as both devices are on the same WiFi.

I have multiple SSID VLANs and the phone + device needs to be on the same SSID.

I'm having the exact same issue! Ever since upgrading to iPhone 14 Pro and Macbook Pro M1 Max, Airdrop has become super slow. It takes 15-30 seconds just to start sending and each transfer takes much longer than before.
