Mid 2011 iMac, running High Sierra.
iPad 6th Generation, running iOS 16.
ISSUE: I cannot seem to get my iPad to show up in my iMac's "AirDrop" window.

Other devices (such as my other mac running High Sierra) show up just fine in my iMac's "AirDrop" window.... but for whatever reason, my 6th generation iPad won't show up.

I believe I've done all the troubleshooting tips:
• Ensuring both bluetooth and wifi are active,
• Ensuring Firewall is off,
• Restarting both devices,
• Close proximity,
• Hotspot is off, and
• Selecting "Everyone for the next 10 minutes" on my iPad's Airdrop Control Panel.

Is High Sierra simply not "Airdrop Compatible" with the newest iPad?
Or, did I forget to do something?

Thank you.

Just found this…your iMac is mid 2011, may be incompatible according to this.

It's an old machine running an old macOS, it's likely. If you're signed into the same Apple ID on both devices, you shouldn't have to do anything to get them to see each other.
