has anyone successfully figured out how to use airdrop? both my mac mini and iphone are on the same network yet they're not discovering each other

AirDrop in iOS 7 is specifically iOS to iOS device, at least right now. It's possible Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks supports iOS 7 AirDrop (I have yet to install it to test), but as far as Mountain Lion and older, no support.

Airdrop is not going to work unless you find someone with IOS 7 Beta 1 as you. The function Airdrop on IOS 7 is similar to Samsung's S-Beam.

tested on two iphone 5 and it works only with "everyone" not contacts and it uses bluetooth turns on bluetooth and then turns it off when you want it off

when i turn it on it turns on bluetooth when i turn it off it turns off bluetooth so I think it uses bluetooth no?

So you can photobomb random strangers? I can see that not going over well...Sounds like fun though!

the other person has to have OPEN for everyone. If you do they can send you a file but like is osx you have to accept it in order to get the file
