I have a MacBook Pro, purchased in 2011.
Running OS X Yousemite Version 10.10.3.

I can't seem to get AirDrop to work.

There's no option to activate it, or configure it?
Nowhere can I say make visible to everyone etc...

    Can anyone help?

    read this

The article mentions that the machine has to be a 2012 or newer for airdrop to work.

Thanks very much for you quick response, ron.

I can stop trying to get it to work, now!

And apologies to the Admin staff, for not posting in the correct thread.

An older hint that turned on Airdrop on N Airport cards that worked back in the day:

    Code:
    defaults write com.apple.NetworkBrowser BrowseAllInterfaces 1
    This still might work today.
