I bought the TaoTronic one from Amazon and while it does the job, it takes too long to connect especially compared to how fast the AirPods connect with the phone...if this had the same chip that makes it connect the same way AirPods do then definitely worth it!

I don't think it does - it seems like it's just a repackaging of the same tech in some of the generic ones. That would be nice though.

Bluetooth doesn't have sufficient bandwidth for Carplay. The actual wireless Carplay uses a combination of BT and Wifi.

Well, BT has its advantages too. Something like the Airpods or the Apple Watch would not be possible without it.

Will this connect automatically, when my iPhone gets in the car as if the car had Bluetooth natively!?

Question..
So if I can connect this to say a digital piano and chuck it on transmit mode, can I pick up the Bluetooth transmission on my iPhone (to bluetooth record to a sound recorder app) ? I don’t see why not. If it’s not possible, it would be the iPhone at issue yeah?
