I’d like to know if it is possible to use airplay in order to stream from a Mac to an ATV 4k all the while taking advantage of Dolby Vision meta data for HDR. For now all I can find is information about streaming with an iphone 12/12 pro or using itune.

What I am planning on doing is to get the new Mac Mini M2 when it comes out and use it as a HTPC (Ravenna to audio system), stream to apple tv using Infuse/Netflix to HDFury Vertex(LLDV) and finally to my Epson LS12000.

Unfortunately the Mac Mini doesn’t support Dolby Vision when used with an external display .

Thanks

If your aim is to get Dolby Vision to/from your apple TV all you need is a Plex server on your mini with a Plex client on the Apple TV, or just an Infuse Apple TV client attached to your media library on the mini.

Thank you for the reply, HDFan.
Plex and/or Infuse are definitely on the list for local content.
