Airplay 2 on sonos

I’ve got airplay running on my sonos speakers using audiobridge on my Mac, works great. Except for when I get a call or want to do something else on my phone using audio.

Does anyone know of a solution to getting airplay 2 working with sonos with something like audiobridge running on a Mac?

Airplay 2 on Apple TV works exactly how I want it to.

What you're seeing in the Apple TV is the original Airplay and Airplay 2 isn't working on any device- Apple hasn't released support in any operating systems. It briefly appeared in the early iOS 11.3 betas but it was removed.
Sonos devices will require a firmware update to get support, after Apple releases Airplay 2 in its operating systems.

Ok I thought that was airplay 2. I know sonos needs to update for airplay support. But you can already today have a server running (Mac, pi) that will emulate airplay. So I can select my sonos speakers from control center as an airplay device.

I guess I’ll have to wait until airplay 2 is released then.

Yeah I'm anxious for Airplay 2 as well. I guess we'll still have a wait for a month or 2 more at least.
