AirPlay 2 to Sony TV issues

Not sure if this is in the right forum.

AirPlay 2 has normally worked fine, recently though if either streaming or downloading a video first, and trying to AirPlay that to the TV, no option comes up on the MacBook Air or from an iPad it just gives a blank screen. The only option from the MacBook Air is to screen mirror. This results in out of sync audio and not great video.

Is there something else that I can try to fix this?
