Airplay and Airport Express

Hi people

I want to be sure this will work out ok.

Right now I use an iPod touch 4gen in a dock to stream my Spotify music to my HIFI but now I have bought an iPad Mini and since it does not have such dock I plan to buy a Airport Express and connect it to my HIFI and stream my spotify via Airplay... its possible right? not only for iTunes? 🙂

if I put the iPad mini in a dock and set the screen to always on because I only want to use it for spotify. Will it hurt the battery ? it will always charge I guess

Not that I know of. Modern batteries in your iPad don't have the memory effect.
