On 4.2 GM on iPhone 3GS, while listening to music over airplay to my airport express, I went to play Fruit Ninja and the game sounds were played over airplay to the airport express.

Is this by design? does anyone know? Could make for some sweet gaming on iPad. Much more immersive.

I do this in the car when my wife is in Starbucks. I hook up the phone to the car stereo and play Angry birds in the parking lot LOUDLY.

A cool feature but I hope Apple (or the game designers) give us an option to exculde game sounds from Airplay if we want to. Sometimes I really do just want my music. Many games already have the "listen to my own music" option in their menus. Probaly that will do it? They all need to add that.

Can't you just put it on vibrate and it seizes game sounds and still plays music?
