I have a pretty robust network, and the HomePods used to work correctly, but now they only play 7 seconds of a song and then the sound cuts off. It's always 7 seconds. iTunes on the Mac thinks it's still playing and goes until the end of the song, but there's no sound.

The HomePod stereo pair is on 15.2. but the Mac is on 11.6.1
Playing videos on the AppleTV works fine, no sound issues. It's only when playing from iTunes on the Mac.

Any ideas? Thank you.

My M1 MacbookAir and pair of OG Homepods are not compatible, generally. I avoid using the two in conjunction because it's just a disaster. Luckily I have 25 year old speakers I bought for a computer that still work, that I plug in to my MacBook using a long lead.
