I know this is an off-topic, but does anyone know if Airplay Mirroring will also be a feature in Lion (for wirelessly connecting Macbooks to external monitor)?

Hmmmm that would be an awesome feature. But probably not. I don't think WiFi is quite fast enough to output larger than 1080p very smoothly and without much lag.

Unless someone can correct me, even wireless monitors max out at 1080p, or even 1050? I remember seeing one recently on Engadget.

Thanks. I'm not so concern about the quality, 720 or 480p is fine. Just being able to stream excel or power point wirelessly from macbook to big screen monitor is what i'm looking for.

I'd love it. I believe that the iPad 2 with IOS 5 will support Airplay Mirroring, so it seems to me that modern Macs should be able to handle it.
