I have some major issues myselfs, I cannot find my appletv from my iPad when I want to play with airplay anymore and turning on/off the bluetooth didnt helped...
I updated all my iOS devices including my appletv and nothing is working!
I really would like some help on this
EDIT: OK this is a little embarrassing, but a simple restart of my iPad and Apple tv solved the issue... Everything works fine now!
I updated my iPhone 5S and now it won't use the house WiFi for AirPlay. Partner's non-updated iPhone 5 finds it fine, but mine won't.
Aaaargh !
Tried rebooting the iPhone, no difference.
Any ideas please !!!

Oh how embarrassing - got it working -- the icon didn't appear at the control center thingy but it did when I poked it a bit!![]()
So the AirPlay icon still doesn't show up on my iPhone 5S control centre swipe-up thing. All I see is AirDrop.
It will, briefly, if I reboot the phone, but it soon then refuses to show again.
I can't keep rebooting my phone every time I want to play music in the house.
Reboot your atv3 and your router.
I'm running an ATV3 through my Apple Express with my iPhone 5 and iPad 2. (Yes, I'm fully embedded into the Apple landscape.)
When iOS8 first came out, I was getting a lot of stutter in sound when mirroring my iPad to the ATV. This happened with Amazon Video and games. I updated the ATV to the latest software, and that improved the situation dramatically, but it is still a problem.
Surprisingly, music streamed from my iPhone didn't have the problem!
Streaming sound to a bluetooth speaker is perfect, and of course there's no problem when using the iPad's built-in speaker.
I can only assume that this is connected in some way to the iOS8 wi-fi problem. Hopefully, it'll be fixed in iOS8.2
