I just purchased a Harman Kardon 1710 receiver with built in airplay. Everything works great, however the airplay feature does NOT work from IOS devices. Airplay however DOES work from iTunes on my macbook.

I am using an Airport Extreme router. I have restored/reseted every device, and it still does not show airplay on my iOS devices command center. The receiver is on the network and connected.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Try rebooting your wireless router
Try toggling airplane mode on your phone for a few seconds.
Try rebooting your phone

If that doesn't work...

Is you MacBook wireless or wired?
Can up you wifi sync your phone to your MacBook?

Thanks for the help. I tried all of those methods.

Oddly enough, wifi sync does NOT work.

Does the router setup multiple wireless subnets? Are all devices on the same subnet? My router always me to assign static ip address to my devices. Might want to try that.
